Jan. 25th, 2021 - On Monday, the Indiana Stonewall Democrats released a statement that strongly supported President Joe Biden’s overturn of former President Donald Trump's policy that aimed to ban transgender troops from service.
Jan 12th, 2021 - Indiana Stonewall Democrats, the political arm aimed at increasing LGBTQ acceptance across Democratic politics, today celebrated State Senator JD Ford (District 39) and State Representative Sue Errington (District 26) for introducing a new bill to effectively end so-called “conversion therapy” practices across the state of Indiana. “Conversion therapy” is a debunked practice used by anti-LGBTQ activists to try and change the sexual orientation and gender identity of many LGBTQ Americans across the United States, including many LGBTQ Hoosiers. The debunked practice often targets minors and creates long-term health complications for survivors.
July 23rd, 2020 - The Indiana Stonewall Democrats strongly condemn Republican Sen. John Crane’s position that married biological parents are best suited to raise children and should be pursued whenever possible.
June 15th, 2020 - The Indiana Stonewall Democrats (ISD), the LGBTQ campaign arm of the Indiana Democratic Party, today hailed the U.S. Supreme Court’s in their latest opinion which affirmed that LGBTQ Americans can sue the federal government should an employer discriminate against them at the workplace on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. This directly impacts and protects the 230,000 LGBTQ Hoosier adults who call Indiana home.
June 11th, 2020 - As Indiana Democrats prepare for their state convention this weekend, the Indiana Stonewall Democrats (ISD), the official LGBTQ political arm of the state party, has endorsed U.S. House candidates Thomasina Marsili (8th District) and Patricia Hackett (2nd District).
